UMPAR – On October 21, 2025, the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Muhammadiyah Parepare (FEB UM Parepare), held a Practitioner Lecture themed “Smart Financial for the Intelligent Millennial Generation” in collaboration with PT Pegadaian Parepare Branch. This event was part of the university’s effort to provide students with practical insights into the importance of smart and ethical financial management in the millennial era.
The event featured a speaker from PT Pegadaian Parepare Branch, Mr. Syahrul, SE, who delivered an engaging presentation on financial management strategies, gold investment, and the role of Pegadaian in promoting financial literacy among the public.
During the event, there was also a CSR assistance handover from PT Pegadaian Parepare Branch, represented by Mr. Syahrul, SE, to Mr. Ruslang T, SE., M.Si., the Vice Dean I of the Faculty of Economics and Business, UM Parepare.
The activity was attended and opened by Dr. Abdul Azis, SE., M.Ak., Vice Dean II of FEB UM Parepare, who expressed his appreciation for the synergy between the industrial sector and higher education. In his remarks, he emphasized the importance of such collaborations as a concrete step in preparing students to become a financially intelligent generation.
The event also received full support from the university, represented by Prof. Dr. Sriyanti Mustafa, S.Pd., M.Pd., Vice Rector I, who expressed hope that similar activities would continue and inspire students to be wiser in managing their finances while contributing to the nation’s economic development.
The “Pegadaian Teaching” program took place with great enthusiasm from both students and lecturers, and concluded with a group photo session and the presentation of souvenirs as a symbol of partnership between FEB UM Parepare and PT Pegadaian Parepare Branch. (*Ar)
